Botanical description

Tree 6-10, to 12 m tall, the branches hanging down. The color of dark brown to gray.

Leaves, fillodiyami replaced with a clear one vein, commonly sickle obtuse at the base, 6-15 cm long and 1,8-3,5 cm wide, glossy, green.

Inflorescence - raceme elongated, flowers yellow.

Flowers in March - April.


The meaning and application
Acacia gustotsvetkovaya began to be cultivated in Australia in the middle of the XIX century and then spread throughout the northern hemisphere.

From the bark are tannins, this form is the greatest amount of tannins.

The flowers are used in the perfume industry.

The shoots of this tree are the fodder for livestock.

Acacia is often planted to prevent soil erosion.

Previously, Australian Aborigines were made of acacia wood boomerangs.
